 Brooklyn Poster and map
I'm really excited to have just finished a map of my hometown: BROOKLYN! My fingers are still a bit cramped from the hundred plus hours of drawing, but I'm excited to offer the 24" x 36" hand signed poster on KICKSTARTER before making it available in shops. Thanks for checking it out friends, and happy holidays!

Mmmm...Bacon

Even though I am on a low sodium diet, I loved working with the talented and kind crew at The Boston Bacon Truck (in Boston naturally)! It was also so cool to see how well Ardon Vinyl applied the wrap. If you are in Boston, please stop by and say hello to the Bacon Truck! You can also view a few more angles and more bacon friends HERE.

#PSFKhome murals

PSFK asked me to paint images of home on the walls of their "Future Of Home Living" space. It was such a fun project. If you are in NYC you can reserve a tour of the space and see the cool gadgets we all NEED in our future homes. The exhibit runs until 8/16. You can see more of the project HERE.

A Dodgers SUMMER!

Thanks Los Angeles Magazine for the great assignment illustrating Vin Scully's "Ode to Summer". We tried to fit in as many "summer clouds" as we could. While the Dodgers left Brooklyn long ago, they are one of my favorite teams to watch. I was even on the Dodger screen once for 2 seconds while catching a game in LA. Summer, Baseball and Los Angeles... pretty fun!

Guggenheim Gutai Splendid Playground!

I made over 175 original ink and painted cards to be dispensed by the "Gutai Card Box" at the "Gutai Splendid Playground show" running at the Guggenheim until May 8th, 2013.  The current show and "Gutai Card Box" pay tribute to the original from the Japanese exhibition in 1962 .The visitors would be dispensed "art" and the Guggenheim wanted to recreate this activity along with work from the original 1962 show.  It was so much fun making quick pieces like this, of course with  Chubu's help. A big thank you to the Guggenheim for letting me partake in this event. A few more pics can be found here.

Happy 100th Woody Guthrie!

I was asked by eMusic to create a Woody Guthrie map based on 20 of his songs for his 100th birthday. I am amazed by what a huge influence Woody Guthrie was, and continues to be for so many other artists. I'm glad I got to know a bit more about him by researching the map, songs and his life. Thanks eMusic and happy 100th Woody!

Icelandic Treat!

I've been to Iceland 3 times, and each time I love it more and more. Where else are there giant pools of heated silica infused saltwater and hot dog stands at every corner? Thanks for inspiring me Iceland. Hope to see you soon!

Why I subscribe to 3x3 Magazine:

No other magazine influences, teaches or studies the field of Illustration as wonderfully as 3x3 magazine does. I was honored to make a " self portrait" for one of their ad campaigns asking " Why I subscribe to 3x3 Magazine." I tried to make my double chins as realistic as possible. It was a personal piece for me, as I wanted to show how much I admire others in our field and also combine that with my せごいsummer memory of brave children jumping from a bridge into the cool river below in Gujo Hachiman, Japan. Thanks 3x3! Thanks Gujo Hachiman!

NHK TV Japan " El Mundo" feature

NHK's new show " El Mundo" featured the artists who contributed to Hearts To Japan T-shirt designs for donations to Japan. I was so honored to be featured and have my shirt shown on the show. I will try to post a video of it when I can. I hope many people BUY some of the artist's great designs and the donations for my second home of Japan continue for the many tough days ahead. Ganbate Japan!
